Suzuki gallakonsert i Royal Albert hall

We would like this Gala Week to be a stunning showcase of Suzuki.
The best music, played with the best sound, from as many instruments as possible, from all over Europe.

PLAYTOGETHER now proposed for Violins, Violas and Cellos in Book 1 and 2

To be held on Saturday 26 March 2016 at the Royal College of Music


Registered participants will also be given a special Gala T-Shirt
1,000 performers at the Royal Albert Hall on 27 March 2016
Eleven instruments are being  accommodated;  Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, Flute, Recorder, Harp, Mandolin, Guitar, Trumpet  and Organ.

Applications for registration will open in September for the following:

  • Violins, Violas and Cellos now including from Book 3 and over
  • Harp, Mandolin, Trumpet and Organ by audition
  • Pianists in Book 3 and above will be invited to audition for the group piano items
  • Guitar, Flute and Recorder, Book 2 and over

All instruments will be involved in shared Suzuki repertoire pieces (eg Hunters Chorus, Minuet 3)

Guest teachers have been invited from abroad to join the BSI teachers including Prof Koji Toyoda.
Plus, British Gala Ensemble (8 BSI string teachers) will play and accompany throughout the concert.

Saturday 26 March evening thank you supper for teachers who are helping

BSI National course at the Royal College of Music will follow from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 March 2016

We are looking for teachers to help for the British Suzuki Gala Week.  Any eager, energetic teacher who can contribute over the whole weekend, or help in any way before.  Please ask. Please offer.
